I’ve given papers at medical conferences in Manchester, Oxford, Paris, Berlin and Vienna on psychological illness, depression, sexually transmitted disease and cancer. I regularly lectured to graduate psychologists on the Masters Health Psychology and Counselling courses at the University of Westminster and also to MBA students at the University of Cranfield Business School.
Main subjects included emotional intelligence, coping with change in organisations, sexuality through the lifespan, the future of work, dealing with divorce, breaking bad news, body language, sexual dysfunctions, dating and relating skills, the modern male predicament AND a range of lighter after-dinner talks about life as a therapist. (Q: What is the purpose of therapy? A: To keep the therapist as well as can be expected under the circumstances…)
